Empowerment Zone Collective has directly impacted youth in underserved communities by providing access to STEM education, leadership training, and environmental awareness programs.

We have a wealth of experience in directly engaging with underrepresented communities. Our focus on promoting environmental education, STEM engagement, and youth leadership development has been a cornerstone of our work. Through our programs, we provide hands-on learning experiences that empower students to address environmental challenges in their communities.

Our team includes three experienced project managers:

  • Our CEO has 12 years of experience launching FIRST Robotics teams for underrepresented students, having helped start approximately 12 teams.

  • Our content strategist has six years of experience mentoring Georgia’s only all-girl, all-African-American FIRST Robotics Challenge team and tutoring teens from Atlanta Public Schools in STEM subjects. She has also created a curriculum to teach elementary students how to build and program FIRST Lego League(FLL) Robots and conducted Saturday workshops in South Atlanta.

  • Our Program Manager oversees program planning, execution, and evaluation at Georgia Tech’s Second Year Experience program, managing teams, budgets, and logistics for large-scale events with 400+ attendees.
